6-12-1- Summary

The exporter makes the goods available to the importer at the designated location in the country of importation. Unloading is included. The importer is responsible for customs formalities, and pays the customs taxes and duties.

Some clauses and variations permit designating the exporter as responsible for customs formalities and importation fees. The Incoterms © DDU 2000 is very similar to the Incoterms © DES.
